  • Explain the underlying pathogenesis for fracture risk in obesity and diabetes mellitus and how to reduce this risk in your patients.
  • Review the etiologies and treatment of male osteoporosis and how MrOS has assisted us in understanding the differences in fracture risk between men and women.
  • Discuss the clinical utility of FDA-approved osteoporosis therapies and the impact of these therapies on your patients.
  • Review the clinical utility of FRAX in different ethnicities in the United States and clarifications of the algorithm since the 2010 ISCD-IOF FRAX Initiative.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE AND SYMPOSIUM GOAL

This educational activity is designed for practicing Endocrinologists, Internal Medicine Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Fellows, Residents and other HCPs who want to update their knowledge regarding the latest developments in managing and treating osteoporosis and the contributing factors that lead to osteoporotic risk fractures in order to improve patient care.
