EXCEL has as one of its focuses the multi-cultural diversity of our country. We tailor our programs to these markets through:

  • Programs offered in several languages such as Spanish, Creole, Indian dialects, as well as English.
  • Activity topics centered on research and data pertaining to minority populations including Women, African-Americans, and Hispanics.
  • Educating healthcare professionals on how cultural diversity impacts the health outcomes of minority patient populations and the healthcare system.
  • Taking the lead as the only ACCME-accredited provider in the nation that has this focus.

EXCEL handles all of the administrative needs for a CME program, from securing the funding for the course to verifying speaker credentials to offering CME program attendees an opportunity to provide valuable feedback about the effectiveness of the course or presentation.

  • We complete the required paper-work (i.e. grant request letters, applications, letters of agreement, etc.) to obtain the funds needed to provide the CME, including site selection, speaker honoraria, travel, food and beverage, etc.
  • Speakers are then contacted and asked to provide a copy of their CV, a copy of their slide presentation or abstract, and to complete a speaker disclosure form. All of this information is reviewed by our CME committee to ensure that the speaker is qualified to conduct a CME lecture.
  • Forms are provided to the participants on the day of the program to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. This determines if objectives were met, if the presenter facilitated the learning environment so the participants cultivate a better understanding from the program objectives. Participants are encouraged to make suggestions for future programs. A summary of these evaluation forms are also given to the grant provider.
